A true story of an online romance that went dreadfully wrong - & how a suspicious group of bloggers are still trying to deal with the aftermath.

Tierra Maria Estates - Under the Microscope . . .

I hope that the message is starting to get through.

The reason behind the publicity of all this is not because I desire to exact revenge upon and shame a solitary Filipina - who I was madly in love with.

Nothing could be further than the truth.

The reason is precisely this - there are indications of complicity from a business man involved in real estate (the girl’s immediate boss) - who most positively endorsed the information I was sent (that it was hoped I would believe.)
There can be no doubts whatsoever that his presence in these events cannot be excused by ignorance of the reality of the situation.

Further to this first reason - there is considerable weight to the possibility that the orchestrated “Hoax” SEO Campaign, including the recording, editing and publishing online of a video interview with the girl - is as a direct result of the resources and determined efforts of this real estate company being employed to that end.
Efforts that are no doubt fully supported and encouraged by the sex-industry - in all of its associations with the Philippines.

It has certainly been proved without a shadow of doubt that the majority of visible opposition to this story comes from people who are connected, through business interest, family or socially - and has not been at all random or haphazard, nor has it been without deliberate incitement through false accusation.
The motivation for this opposition is proved therefore to be other than from impartial consideration or reasoned argument.

Let us call the businessman “J” for the sake of this discussion.
“J” is key to the success of this alleged fraud.

The “hospital operation” was an “emergency” requiring the down payment of a deposit before it could proceed (as is often the case in the Philippines.)
Rather than introduce a new character, unknown to me, or rather than weaken the impelling background of poverty by involving a family member - “J” is crucial as the figure who allegedly paid this deposit.
He was of suitable status for it to be entirely feesible - an additional component now to the original scam idea of a simple pregnancy - which had been scuppered by the announcement of my forthcoming 2nd visit to see the girl.

“J’s” business aquaintance (we shall call “M”) was the person allegedly responsible for the considerable photoshop alteration of the girl’s photograph - as was used on her DIA profile and also her work ID?

I ask you this - is it normal for a girl’s photograph to be digitally enhanced for an ID card?
This, so I was told, was the purpose the photograph had been originally taken for.
There is more sense in such editing for a profile on a dating site, although slightly “dishonest.”
“M” also works in real estate - and together with “J” invited me to put up a website for the real estate business over here in the UK - to help them attract custom.

Both “J,” the girl and everybody else had obviously decided that the entire responsibility of paying for the alleged operation was mine.
There was certainly no doubt to that.
“J” sent me emails and SMS messages - demonstrating his concern that I should send the payment - one option being to pay the money into his HSBC dollar account - and I was sent the account number.

I, in return, sent emails to him and the girl, adamant that I would honour my commitment and obligation - provided that I could be assured that I was not being lied to - and that this was an embarrasing, but nevertheless practical consideration to discuss.

I had insisted on dealing only and directly with the hospital and it seemed in “J’s” messages that this was also a possibility, but no such details of account information or method were forthcoming from him regarding the hospital. Other than the initial attempt to get me to send money via Western Union, no other details regarding method of payment ever appeared until later on - this information did not even accompany the JPG of “the hospital bill.”
Although - apparently the alleged down-payment by “J” was made by credit card - what could have been a simpler method for me to pay also?
I have seen no proof for this deposit - it is mentioned on the JPG of the bill, but not attributed to any person - although the “email bill” from the real estate office mentions “J” as having paid it.

All this - merely a few days before I would land on my already scheduled flight to the Philippines.
A surprise trip, which when announced resulted in the original pregnancy (for which I have no proof) being declared a false alarm.
It seemed curious for such insistence on me sending the money in advance of my imminent trip.
What was the rush?
The “operation” had already happened.
There was certainly no rush later - with the girl spending a total of eleven days in the hospital - her stay extended from the originally expected three days.
There was certainly no rush to send me any information I was requesting.
There was certainly no rush from the hospital itself to communicate with me at all.

Yet here was the situation as it was painted - a “tragic emergency” - with the entire future of our “genuine relationship” depending on it being sorted out smoothly - the girl herself, the girl’s family, the girl’s colleagues and friends, the girl’s boss - all of them holding me, and me alone responsible for paying this account - and not one of them (despite allegedly attempting it) managing to get the hospital to communicate with me.

The hospital itself would have presumably been concerned about the payment of the account - yet I did not even get a response from my emails sent to the hospital - perhaps something along the lines of “We are unable to communicate with you directly on this issue because it compromises patient confidentiality” (the excuse that has been laboured to death ever since - and yet never during - the girl’s “hospital stay.”)

Having failed at convincing me that this was at all genuine, with only the email containing the figures from the real estate sales office being their idea of “official proof” - I decided not to fly - not wishing to get embroiled in what appeared to be an organised racket - but I could have been wrong.

Immediately this prompted a flow of aggresive, manipulative emails and SMS from the Philippines - from “J” and the girl.

It would have been foolish of them to have denied any of my requests from this point onwards, that would have been a definite cause for alarm - on 17th August I emailed “J” requesting details of the doctors.
On 19th August “J” sends me these details including “email addresses” of the doctors.
I reply telling him that I am acting on the information urgently.

On Sunday 19th August 2007 I have sent emails to the Dra. who was suggested as “the main cooperator” - and have never received a reply from her.
I have sent an email to the other Dr. and received a prompt but unprofessionally scruffy reply from an anonymous IP address.

They know now that I mean business about checking up on all of what they have been telling me.

On the 20th August 12:27 pm UK time (19:27 pm PH time) I reveal the URL of my private blog with the ongoing story to the girl & “J” in separate emails.

On the 22nd August UK time - I receive replies from emails that I had only just sent that day to:
* One of “J” ‘s business associates - one of which bears the same IP address as “J.”
* A reply from the British Embassy - endorsing it all and including the hospital’s banking details.
Previous correspondence with them had been to no avail - this time “J” had just suggested to me that I try the British Emabssy for help.
* The hospital send me a JPG of the bill.

The statement of account bears the following …

Inpatient Statement of Account
Run date time: 08/21/2007 10:17:57 am (PH time.)

The accompanying letter indicates …

We have a patient in the name of Ms. Ma. Ana Samson Betita who was admitted last August 10, 2007, but still with us due to none payment of Hospital Bill and Professional Fees.

However I do not receive this until 17 hours later - 16:56 pm (UK time.)
There is no indication of any method of payment - so I write to them at 10:16 am on 22nd August enquiring of this (the Embassy had already informed me however of the hospital’s bank details 8.28 am UK time.)

Followed by an identical email and JPG from the hospital on the 22nd August 11:23 am (UK time.)

I receive a reply on 22nd August 15.37 pm (UK time) indicating the banking details and that the British Embassy had been making enquiries, followed by an identical email 23rd August 11.06 am (UK time.)

The same day (23rd August) 1.56 am I had received the Four Feathers email from the girl - indicating that she is “out of the hospital” and that she had “arranged on the previous Saturday (18th August) for her family to settle the account.”

I email the hospital 10.16 am (UK time) asking them to confirm payment of the account.
50 minutes later I receive the identical copy of the first email with the banking details.

On 29th August 12.56 pm (UK time) I receive another email from the hospital stating -

Dear Sir,We havent received yet the payment in our account. Hoping for your great response.

It will be noticed that the hospital themselves never go as far as actually asking in any way for payment.
The statement of accounts is just that - a statement.
The bank details merely state …
“You can remit thru our depository bank under Account : ***** Equitable PCI Bank
Dr. A. Santos or St. James Branch.”

What happens after the girl “leaves the hospital” is all recorded in the story, but the point of this excercise is to demonstrate that nothing remotely official was despatched to me until after I had revealed to the girl and to “J” the on going story - recorded in all its glorious detail in my private blog hosted on MySpace (the one that was later hacked and deleted an hour after it was made public.)

The dozen or so emails containing my suspicions that I had sent around may have bothered them, but that was done - nothing could undo that - but the threat of the story going public - worldwide, to an immeasurably vast audience - obviously represented a serious threat to business.

All of a sudden - after this - I started to get a response from them - it had become obvious to them that I was not going to settle for anything less than a document from the hospital - which presumably was much more serious and incriminating than the one or two undocumented phone calls that I had made to the hospital directly.
Now the hospital would have to commit to something.

The JPG of the bill bears a “Discharge time and date of 13th August 6.28 pm (PH time)” which is around the time that I received the figures from the real estate office - in an ordinary email from one of the girl’s colleagues - she had allegedly just returned there from the hospital where she had collected a “xerox” of the bill.
Now - as far as I know - you cannot take a “xerox” without there being an original.
So - apparently - a paper copy of a bill has been around since this date - 13th August.
Why was I sent nothing until 22nd August?

Why have I never been shown anything else by way of supporting paperwork?

Why did “J” not communicate with me after 19th August?
Why did all his urgency for the money suddenly go stone cold?
Why did the real estate firm not reply to my email sent to them 22nd August?
Why have they never attempted to directly establish their innocence?
The only attempts at this have been completely circuitous, underhand and totally void of any solid detail or anything material.
The only attempts at this have been via the girl initially, returning into communication with me - and later on via a whole community of bloggers.
The impression given by both the girl and the bloggers has been one of defensiveness - avoiding any confrontational discussion of detail - the making of excuses - deception and total denial.
Why is all this effort being put in - and there is already considerable energy been spent - resulting in nothing at all being forthcoming by way of proof - when if this proof exsisted - it would be the easiest thing in the world to produce and demonstrate?
Such a pronounced and stark silence from the people directly implicated is most unnatural - equally so is the deafening clamour produced by all those others - completely “unconnected” to that implication
Can they be at all serious about this?

The MS word document from the “legal counsel” in response to my emails to four members of the board at the hospital - was an obvious attempt to pacify me - and smells as much like an official document as horse dung immitates eau-de-cologne.

It was not because “J” or the owner of the firm were slack in answering emails that they hadn’t replied to my further correspondence - for I received a very swift reply to my email under the pseudonym “John Goodwin” around 4/01/08 - a reply that contains some very dubious phrases for a person who was 100% certain that an operation had happened - because by his own admission he had “witnessed the girl in the hospital.”
How can someone even allude to the slightest possibility of it having been a scam and simultaneously pretend absolute certainty that it wasn’t?
It does not add up at all.

Of course there is the video recording of the strange looking scar being smudged by the girl’s thumb - the implications of which are immediately denied.

We have all the suspicious activity on the website of Noemi Dado - connected herself to real estate - straight away issuing a denial that she knew “J” personally (when no-one at that time had suggested otherwise) - although she knew of him & had been a neighbour of his.
Her real estate website contained a write up for the very same real estate firm that “J” worked for - the article in fact that had brought me to Noemi Dado in the first place.

Who else could possibly be more ideal in ridding this firm of the menacing blog on the Internet - who else other than Mrs “Celebrity Blogger” herself - who spawned blogging into the Philippines - Mrs “SEO Campaign” - Mrs “let’s call this a hoax campaign” - Mrs “let’s do a video interview with the girl ” - Mrs “let’s allow her to mention her scar, but let’s not ask to see it, but let’s pretend we know absolutely that she’s innocent - despite the fact that we know she is an expert liar” - Mrs “in fact let’s not ask for any proof at all” - Mrs “Malicious, corrupt, blogger” … who indeed could possibly be more ideal than her?

An open letter to the Philippine community of the UK.

Last year (August 2007) I had the misfortune to become involved in an attempted fraud.
The details of this very long story put flesh on the bare bones of what was patently a scam
attempt, to extort money for an emergency operation that never happened.
Confusingly, fleshed out in the manner that it was, it seems in many ways to be the story of a relationship - a story, however, that can very readily be twisted and distorted, by those with a vested interest, to make it appear instead, as the opposite to what actually occurred - I am no longer portrayed as the victim, but the villain.
There are people trying to invert the truth - maybe out of shame, maybe out of a commercial interest - but that is their aim.

However, the truth of the matter is that prior to the “hospital episode,” I had cause to
believe, in retrospect, that all was not proceeding quite as a relationship should have been, despite all the excuses that have since been made, regarding cultural differences and misunderstandings.

At the time of the “hospital incident” itself, I merely insisted on satisfactory proof being sent to me, through the appropriate channels, and I was very aware that my suspicions themselves, although totally justified, would be seen as insulting to those people I was dealing with in the Philippines.
However - the manner in which my requests for proof were dealt with - provided me with my first conviction that I was the victim of an attempted scam.

Because of my sincere emotional involvement, I decided that I needed more than circumstantial
evidence - and so I continued communication with the people involved in the Philippines -
convinced that as time went on I would get a clearer picture of the truth - which is indeed what
happened.

Because of the distressing, despicable method by which this scam was supposed to have happened - because I would have been impotent at a distance without some sort of leverage or bargaining power - because in many ways, the perpetrators of the scam were a “soft target” - ie they were known to me, they had a name and could not easily slip away into anonymity - I decided to use my writings (which had been started simply as a record of my proud romance) to document everything as the events continued to unfold.
This was all in a private blog for many months, but they were aware of its threatening potential.

I decided to use the blog towards the end of last year to publicly shame and expose the group for their activity and to act as a warning to others.
In a situation where there appeared to be either no fear of the law, or no law to fear, shame became a powerful and solitary tool.
Aware that my blog was becoming more and more accessible on the Internet - and directly imposing itself in the public eye of anyone searching for the real estates company - more and more strenuous efforts were put in by them to try to get me to capitulate, to remove my writings - hoping that I was steadily being convinced by the excuses and lies that I was subjected to by my continued, yet confused, communication with the girl concerned - who insisted that the relationship had been and still was, genuine and sincere on her behalf.

It became increasingly obvious to me that this was now purely a business move on behalf of the real estates company - cynically and cruelly, it had nothing whatsoever to do with the original intention of a relationship, romance and marriage - it was all about them establishing their innocent reputation amidst all of my writings that were, by now, beginning to saturate the search engines.

In all this time however, not once did the real estate firm communicate with me directly, nor was one single shred of material evidence offered by them or the girl in support of their version of events.
Initially I stated my intentions and my desire to deal directly with the hospital.
To have chased up, invited specific pieces of proof would simply have allowed them to focus their recources into providing it (exactly as it did with the revelation of the scar over the webcam) - nothing proved.
However, by leaving it up to them - after all, the burden of proof was theirs, I would see the true state of affairs - just how much they were prepared to risk - the gamble between waiting to see if I would disappear, or sending further potentially incriminating proof - by way of falsified documents - with names and addresses on.
Why the hesitation?
If it had been all legitimate, there would have been absolutely no risk at all.
They were certainly aware that I was waiting to discover the truth.

I decided to cut off communication with the girl in February 2008.

Since that time - the real estate company have been mobilising an assortment of Filipino bloggers, around the world to combat my incriminating writings - with an emotional battering, pure fiction - being led in turn by such characters as Jepoy, Noemi Dado, SouthernDon and ReynaElena.
Perhaps some of these names will be familiar to you.

Here is an example of an obvious attempt at inflaming racial hatred, in a desperate effort to rally others around a distorted and false flag. This is direct from Reyna Elena - my comments in brackets. Please - do not let him deceive you.

“Taking cue from the Pinay Scandal, the second SEO campaign I did was to equalize the internet bombardment of this notorious hoax producer, [have you got the slightest piece of evidence to support your theory that it is a hoax? Why would I go to all this trouble for a hoax?] scam inventor and Filipino hater [there, a direct accusation of racism - which is simply not true. I have stressed time and time again that this is all directed purely at the criminals and their supporters - but they are desperate, clutching at straws - because they know that they cannot produce even the smallest piece of material evidence. Besides, remember, most of these people were not even in the Philippines at the time.] Tim Curper of UK a.k.a. Ellumbra. How successful was our SEO campaign? Let’s start by saying that even before I even thought about putting an internet fight with this very sad and lonely single and grumpy old man, he has opened blogs after blogs of everything and anything against the Tierra Maria Estates, the Philippines, the Filipinos and reyna elena readers. [Another attempt at a racist slur - do not believe this evil man.]
Today?
After the 1st campaign that we did, the real story, the truth and nothing but the truth about the scam [Yeah, yeah, yeah - go on then - show me how you can possibly know the truth?] that never happened, the hoax that Tim Curper created in his schizophrenic minds is finally out there. [See where they are going?]

One of these days, we will uncover who you are, your wife and where you live and they will all find out what you are doing against the Filipinos. [This man is very deaf - and very stupid - he is still insisting that it is racist.] This is a very small world after all.” [Does that sound like a threat? Uncover who I am - I’m not even hiding - nothing to fear - I am simply telling it, as it is - and people are observing.]

They have even gone as far as posting an hour long video interview with the girl - in an attempt to convey their innocence.
They have not resisted using subterfuge and trickery, masquerading at times as “new friends” or interested parties - they have used forums, bulletin boards as fly-traps - luring me in - censoring comments to reflect only their devious intentions.
But the main thrust of the activity now, is that these bloggers, completely unconnected to the original events, are being used to denounce, distill and distort my writings - again - all in the hope that the very quantity will be overwhelmingly convincing - and will also succeed in pushing my story out of the public eye.

Please, read the story for yourself - read it carefully - try to see through the cunning illusion that was being painted. Don’t take the events at face value - they were only reported by telephone, email, IM or SMS messages - all very suitable to creating a false reality.
You will understand just how bewildering and devastating such events can be - as they attempt to psychologically manipulate the situation to their advantage - using the devious emotional tactics of the scammers themselves.

Now I have been accused of racism by these people, in their efforts to fan the flames of hatred and bigotry.
Nothing is further from the truth.
I am still mortified that my dream has been shattered in such an alarming and shocking manner.

I hope you will join me, privately if not overtly, in condemming these people who are being so energetically hostile towards the truth - and so destructive of our international relationship.

Please check out for yourselves - see precisely how ruthless, devious and persistent they can be - and bear in mind, all the time - these people cannot possibly know anything about the events of last August, from their own experience.

It is all propaganda.

Which is why I am writing this letter, hopefully to achieve exposure of this story to those seeking information about the Barrio Fiesta.
The battle in the search engines has now spilt over into that area.
The real estate company and maybe even some of the characters in the story might well be in
attendance again this year at the Barrio Fiesta in Hounslow in July.
If you read the story, you will see how I was double-crossed - I had a meeting at the Barrio
Fiesta last year, while still convinced that my relationship was sound and proceeding towards
marriage.
All was not to be so.

Yes - I agree - some of my writing has been quite harsh, quite critical - I have at times yielded to retaliation - when angered it is all too easy to write in a way that we later perhaps regret - but
please let me assure you, that all of it is aimed fairly and squarely only at the criminal community involved and only at those who allow it to thrive by giving succour and support - and by a constant denial of the truth.
I find that the bigotted hypocrisy of these bloggers is the most revolting aspect of this whole affair.

Please see beyond your natural, innate kinship - put aside any bias - search for the truth - if you can.

We are all living now in a global village - we must value the truth - international cooperation,
honesty and a universal morality.
We must not allow these ideals to be swept aside or buried by national favouritism, jingoism or any form of racial bias or bigotry.
The truth must be prized above all else - that is the reason why I have continued with this for so
long.
It has been a revelation.

Suddenly - like a bolt from the blue - I have finally understood.

I understand perfectly well that these people are doing what they are doing for their own obscure motives, or because they have been press-ganged into helping out Tierra Maria Estates (or whoever it is behind this organisation) - it does not necessarily involve the payment of any money (as they have been trying to suggest in their twisted propaganda.)

Of course - reading through my blog - it is very easy to be bewildered, hoodwinked - by all the detail.
You see - it is that very detail that is the camouflage - it is the scammer’s “invented reality” that they are trying to pass off as the truth - together with the emotional black magic - the spell that is cast by the girl.
Yes - over the internet - and especially when the heart wishes the truth to be otherwise - their deception (to gain money - or simply to refain the freedom to continue with their business) has a fair chance of success.
But strip away the camouflage - reveal the bare bones - and what have you got?
Yes - exactly - a classic scam scenario.
But it takes great tenacity and intelligence to be able to read between the lines - to not allow yourself to get tangled up in the web of deceit and lies.

I finally understand now why the following people …

Reyna Elena, John Phillips Bengero (Jepoy,) Don Pinger (SouthernDon,) Beng Hafner, Sinaglaya, Kengkay, NinaRicciCruz (Nina Lumberio,) Noemi Dado, Chuvaness, Lalaine, Diwatang Byaning, CathCath (Cathy Black,) Pusang Maganda, Dr Joy Barredo, Siopaomaster, Karlo (Gameops), Jakedeasis, PinoyLottoWinner, PinoyAmbisyoso, Noel Feria (Romantic Geek,) Karla Redor, Kotsengkuba (Noel Cabacungan,) MissPinkBiik, & of course Francis M Jalbuena (Sir Francis,) Ma. Ana Samson Betita (Mayen,)

… have had the trouble they have had - wrestling with their communal conscience - trying to decipher the truth.
It is cunningly concealed - just as they contrive it to appear in real life.
However to help them - I have constructed the following checklist and questionnaire.

Over here in the west, this is how we would define a “love scam” …

* Girl pretends affection for a man.

* They make plans together - marriage being the number one promise.

* Girl asks to sleep with man.

* The grooming period is now over.

* Girl keeps asking for money. (You might try and evade this by mentioning “cultural differences” - but not all good Filipinas will do this.)

* Quite often this is for “fake” scenarios - hospital bills being a speciality - the more emotionally
engaging - the better. (In fact if you recall - there were 2 hospital scenarios this time - the “ectopic pregnancy” & “the mother’s stroke.”

* No material evidence whatsoever is supplied to corroborate the scenario - only attempts to make the situation appear real. (Obviously - that is the scammer’s job.)

* When challenged to provide material proof of this scenario - it doesn’t happen.

* When a perceived threat looms - a minimum amount of material evidence is reluctantly provided - and it is highly suspicious - especially with regard to the timing of it’s production and question of legitimacy.

* The attitude demonstrated during these times is defensive and hostile.

* Continued communication reveals lies, deceits, inconsistencies - (and culminates in the revelation of a fake scar.)

* Excuses are made to deny any of the above (Obviously - that is a scammer’s job.)

Questions for you to answer.

* Tell me how my situation differs from that outlined above.

* Show me how you have been “helpful and friendly” in your dealings with this.

* If I told you that I had seen a video of a car crash - would you immediately say “No you haven’t”?

* Why do you immediately deny that I have seen a video of a fake scar - the ink being smudged by her thumb?

* Is it because you are being defensive?

* Is it because you have been observing my movements from afar and know that I have not seen a video of a fake scar?

* Is it because you are protecting someone or something?

* Will you admit that what you are doing has nothing whatsoever to do with the truth of the situation, but is purely and simply to get the incriminating material I have written removed or diluted?

* Will you admit that none of you know the slightest thing about the situation - from your first hand experience with it?

* If you were to read the book “Titanic” - would you get very wet at the end?

* Would you admit that experience is a greater teacher than simply reading words?

* Would you admit therefore that you are in no position to challenge my experience of the events -
especially with such energetic assertion and hostility - unless it is for a prior motive - which has nothing to do with the truth?

* Would you admit that you have been purposeful and determined at distorting my words - to reflect
the picture that you have been instructed to paint?

* Would you admit that you have been exaggerating - often to the extent of inventing lies - that simply do not exist in my words?

* Would you admit that you have been creating a psychological smokescreen - suggestions like paranoia, hallucinations, etc. simply because it is a convenient way for you to try to create doubt of my words?

* Would you admit that you have been recruiting others, enjoining them to engage in an assault on my words?

* Would you agree to attempting to inflame this assault by insinuating that my attack is racist?

* Would you admit that this is just to deflect the gaze from your own criminal intentions?
